Calamari - True Adonis?
« on: October 10, 2008, 06:48:44 PM »
I just made my first pasta dish with Calamari.

The Calamari completely lacked any taste, and was rubbery.

What went wrong...  ??? :P

Was it breaded and fried? IF so, what kind of oil?  Also, what recipe did you use?

Also, what was the cooking length.

Usually you want med-high to high heat for only 3 minutes or less.

I used the recipe on the bag... lol

I sauteed diced onions, and garlic until almost brown, tossed in the Calamari (1/2 inch sliced tubes, and tentacles) and cooked it for about 7 minutes on medium-high.  I added pepper, salt, and parsley.  I than poured the Calamari mixture over Tomato Fettuccine.

I'm kind of disappointed...
