Repoublican party needs to tell palin, Romney, and the others to forget about it.

Ron Paul - or a similar candidate - should take on Obama in 2012.

let the best man (or woman) win that one!

He'll be 70 years old during the next election.

Also he failed the intellect portion of the nomination process - very likeable but just didn't know a lot about world issues or economy.

Won't RP be 76 in 2012?  I couldn't imagine going through the rigors of the presidency at 80.  I still hope the repubs put someone like him up in 2012 though.

Fred Thompson is a good actor but he can't stay awake long enough to make a decision. I look at Ron Paul or Sarah Palin to be back in 2012. Whether you like her or not, she is a force to be reckoned with in 4 years.

MCshame should have taken DaddyWaddy over Palin. I would happily vote JFalKon into the whitehouse.

He was my first choice.

He looked and acted presidential.

But many republicans described his speeches as boring.
And he make some major mistakes on normal Qs from the press about specifics.  To win the presidency, you need to be a smart man.  Bush 1, clinton, obama - all very wise men.  Even bush2 was an mba and was very sharp as governor.

FT just wasn't that bright, you know?  Cool guy - just made so many mistakes about things.

Charlie Crist is a pretty sharp cat, might be a solid choice in 2012
