..I was in summercamp with our kyokushin club, beating each other senseless on a daily basis....

@ night they played us videos w/ martial arts ...

One such night I first saw a fighter who I consider one of the most talented ever ...@ that time he was landing in America

Yeah, his best fight was against poor genetics and tons of gear didn't stop him from losing that fight.

I posted earlier a pic from my kyokushin days ...my first "IDOL" was andy ...back then he lost the worlds to Matsui ...for some reason I liked his awkward style and tried to emulate him ...I met fihlo and Nicholas Pettas in '95 and hung out with them for a few days as their translator ..cool guys and awesome fighters ...

I fought at the junior nationals and a few tournaments until I was 18 ...excellent expirience for me .

ps : bas ruten is not kyokushin

andy hug, francisco fihlo, semmy schildt, nicholas pettas, glaube feitosa, teixeira, and the russian new guy are from kyokushinkai



here is pettas as I knew him ( youndger ) against feitosa in the worlds ch
