New Computer Parts - Help?
« on: November 03, 2008, 10:11:00 PM »
I blew a couple capacitors on the mother board of my current computer (lightning?), and I need a new one for gaming.

Can anyone check over these parts and tell me if you think they're decent?  ???

Unfortunally you never know if a certain combination of components will work OK until you have actually tried. I had to RMA my mainboard on my new custom built PC because they couldn't fix a problem for more than three months. :-\

I would definitely go for Gigabyte at the moment, I would opt for an Intel based board though. Current ASUS boards / NVIDIA based boards are way too buggy. As far as CPU goes, I bought an Intel dual core. Was the better solution half a year ago, might have changed since then.
