Lesnar,WWE, and UFC

Here are some thoughts I had regarding Lesnar....I am sure a lot of you will be able to offer some great opinions on these.....shoot holes in them...etc.

1) Is McMahon possibly kicking himself seeing the build-up that was given to UFC 91?  I mean he did hold Brock to not stepping into any fighting ring for some time because of his WWE contract.  But what If McMahon had the foresight to use Lesnar as a way of promoting the WWE while letting him fight in the UFC?

2) With regard to the above, would Lesnar have had the impact or the "hype" he has now were able to jump immediately (so to speak) into the UFC rather than wait out his contract?

3) People talk about how much time Randy spent away from the ring, but Lesnar didnt fight in a ring until the one fight in Japan (or did he fight twice) then the UFC.  Wasnt that like 2 - 3 years?  So, how could it help Brock, but hurt Randy?

4) What (if anything) can Brock do to make people change their minds about him being just a hype-based fighter?  Is he just another Kimbo waiting to happen?

I don't know if people would have took him serious as a fighter if he was still with the UFC. I think that people would have thought even worse of him if he was still wrestling. (Even though I don't think that you could do both. Wrestling dudes are on the road non-stop and Brock would need to train for both which I think would be impossible.) I couldn't see Dana letting a deal with McMahon (sp) work out. They are both the hard headed type who it has to be their way.

3)I think that saying Randy took to much time off is ridiculous. he trained non-stop the whole time he was off. hoping to bag the Fedor fight, so I don't think he came in, in bad shape. I would say that anyone who says that Randy camein with ring rust and all the other bullshit, is delirious. Randy didn't lose a step and prolly gave his body sometime to heal.

4) Continue to win fights and improve with his skill and ring knowldege... I don't think that you can compare Brock and Kimbo. Kimbo was a bum off the street that knocked fat dudes out. Brock is a collegiate HW champ with a record of 105 wins and 5 losses. Not to many people hold that record, their are tons of guys who can knock out fat champs on the streets. Kimbo would be destoryed by Lesnar and Lesnar beat one of the most hyped champs in MMA.

I doubt McMahon is kicking himself...WWE needs a constant script. The big names really have to come and go so to speak. Just like a TV series or Movie series.

I was a little bitter about Brock getting a title shot, as he is a lot of hype. But he did prove that he is someone to reckon with as an MMA fighter. He has ok MMA skills, but his size and athleticism allow him to be a true monster in the cage. Still, there is room to grow as a fighter and I think when people continue to see him evolve and conquer each opponent he faces, they will give him the respect like other MMA stars.

Brock has  done his time in building a name for himself through his endeavors. Can't hate him for that. Unlike Kimbo, there is reason for some of the hype. Brock also knows what it's like to have thousands of fan's in an arena screaming or booing. Performing under pressure is a HUGE skill that can't be taught.

Bottom line..... Brock makes for interesting match-ups and entertaining fights.
Like Kimbo...the quicker you are brought to stardom, the easier it is for you to fall. So far Brock has performed enough to avoid the fall.

Randy really never took time off. Don't let that one punch overshadow Randy's performance. He did amazingly well against Lesnar. People forget this. I still think Randy has several big fights left in him.
