Two Chandler men and a Phoenix man have pleaded guilty to one felony count of conspiring to distribute anabolic steroids through their Internet-based business, the U.S. District Attorney's Office announced Tuesday.

Edwin Porter, 42, of Chandler, was sentenced Tuesday to 22 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Mark Kravitz in New Haven, Conn., and three years of probation for his role in planning to distribute the performance enhancing drug.

Porter had pleaded guilty in June, and his business partners, Matthew Peltz of Chandler and Tyler Lunn of Phoenix, pleaded guilty to the offense in August.

The men's business was investigated by the FBI.

According to court documents, the men conspired to purchase more than one kilogram of raw steroid powder from China and manufacture the anabolic steroids at Porter's home or Lunn's apartment in Phoenix. They then planned to sell and distribute them to customers through a MySpace.com profile and another Web site, according to the U.S. District Attorney's Office in Connecticut.

Lunn was sentenced to five months in federal prison in September, and Peltz will be sentenced in January, according to Tom Carson, spokesman for the U.S. District Attorney's Office in Connecticut.
