I'm sucralose intolerant, it gives me really bad intestinal problems and bloat. I have to try to avoid splenda or sugar alchohols completely... just about the only place I take any sugar alcohols in anymore is protein powders. And I've cut back on those too, but I still have some time to time when I'm not dieting.
I prefer the powders with splenda or sucralose, or straight up sugar, because I agree that the stevia-based ones don't taste as good. I avoid all of them when I am dieting.
