Bar Bodies
« on: December 29, 2008, 05:59:25 PM »
Is there any excuse not to do legs?

I think I have a temporary one.

I almost broke my foot messing around with one arm handstands in my living room.  Now I'm in one of these robocop boots.

I was super depressed at first, as working out is one of the only things that I enjoy.  Now I realize though I can just pull and push all day long.

have any of you guys gone through periods of skipping legs?  Have you seen accelerated progress in upper body development?

why?

why do them?  Training for greater strength and balance, no specific purpose.  Pretty stupid way to hurt myself, but better than not trying I guess.

haha, yes, must maintain the forearm/bicep strength for beer curls.  Also, carry enough bulk to intimidate tiny tits that are at the bar.

Nothing like getting the head nod from the bouncer acknowledging that your a big dude.tiny tits scurrying out of your way at the bar so have easy access to drinks, and of course, the hotties that "accidentally" brush up against you then grab your arms and say something like "Wow you have big arms, yada, yada, yada"
I'm sure it happens to you all the time 8)

Haha,my favorite is when some 160lb dude is being told by his girl "He's too big, your body is much nicer than his" all the while she's eyeing you up and down looking at you like your a steak and she hasn't eaten in days.

hahah, yes, and you KNOW when they leave he is telling her "man, I was gonna kick his ass!"  As the girl rolls her eyes and fantasizes about being with a real man. hahaha

How about having great genetics and naturally developed legs?  8)

Kevin is a warrior, just because I dont want to be 250lbs at 3%bodyfat doesnt mean i dont train.
He inspires me to workout

why do you continually say "why would anybody want to be big?"

i would think nothing of it coming from anybody else, just seems odd coming from people here, especially you after you made a tribute video

this will occur as you get older and lazier, motivation for doing legs declines. eventually you realise(or tell yourself lol) that legs dont matter anyways unless you are going to compete. basically you can just do biceps and some form of pressing and it will be enough for a bar body. i revert to this from during the cold months and just eat like a fucking pig

It may be contradiction but i dont just admire him for his physique but because of his longevity, his balls to the walls training, his personality and who he is. I dont know why Levrone became that big but I do know he was a champion in his proffesional and i like his attitude, he wasnt your typical meathead gymrat who went nowhere.
