Thanx man!...................at one point Paul had it all! (brand new "ZR1" Corvette,Denise Paglia as a girlfriend,Met-RX contract etc etc.........then i ended up working with Paul ("bouncing" at some local bar in Salem Massachusetts,he had lost quite a bit of size,had some "legal troubles",lost his Met-Rx contract,was selling old boxes of Met-Rx,also worked part-time for a limo company (taking people to the airport)

I guess some people get blindsided emotionally. Events pile up that are seemingly out of control at the time. Sounds like a decent guy.

Major anger management and substance abuse issues.  Big muscles, but not much else going for him.  Little or no higher education, no meaningful goals, no plan.  No business sense - another bodybuilding case study of muscle fame without fortune.

Goes to show the crazy detail in his quads that Platz had. We see a lot of bb'ers these days with massive quads, yet Platz-like detail is never seen. I guess a lot of it is Genetics, but you wonder if Platz's training had anything to do with it....

no ones perfect,ive met paul in the mid 90,s and he was a really nice dude,most people who knew him would tell you the same.rest in peace bro

I remember seeing some interviews of him in the late-90s and he was already disillusioned about what bodybuilding was doing to his health
