I love how all these tiny tits get motivated by watching a 38 year old undersized welterweight give free punches to a Heavyweight who punches 3 times as hard as the average 200+ pound Heavyweight!

It's called a movie.  Keep in mind it was also the 80's, where excess was the norm.  Rocky IV was perhaps not steeped in realism, but was very entertaining nonetheless.  Stallone knew that to have continued success with sequels in the franchise, that he needed to change up the formula.  I would say he was successful in doing so.  Rocky IV will never be held in the same critical esteem as the original Rocky, but from a commercial standpoint, Rocky IV was a resounding financial success.  And it was an inspirational movie to many.  I know of many people who were inspired to train from watching the training scenes in the movie.  I count myself as one of them.

Shoot Rocky IV was actually my favorite!  I remember watching that and beating the crap out of my bean bag and pillows on the coach when I was 10 or so.  I literally loved it, and  I am proud to admit this.

When we were kids, this was some impressionable shit!

  Hell yea it was!  Bloodsport, Kickboxer, all the other Van Damme movies, all the Rockys but especially Rocky IV...these were basically my sole inspiration in life.  I can't tell you how bad I wanted to be a kickboxer.

Great quote...reminds me of one time at work during a staff meeting...weren't even discussing Rocky...somebody made some kind of prediction about a new client not being worth all the trouble they were causing, and my boss said, "Oh, is that a fact?" and I replied, in my best fake Russian accent, "Yes!  And it could be a painful one!!"
