Speaking of Auld Reekie...I got to meet Ian Rankin last year. Seriously a cool guy and he wanted to discuss The Stones, but I felt bad and cut it short because so many other people were approaching. Will definitely look for him in future. I was impressed. Seemed like a guy to sit and have some pints with.

I've got his website in my favourites and I've been thinking for a while to attending the Edinburgh Int. Book Festival. If this year's lineup has a few key people, I'll probably hit it.

LOL. Are you kidding!? I would be a convoy rolling through the pubs. Problem would be not trying to blow off scheduled events.  :-\    ;D

I like Braveheart but think Trainspotting and Shallow Grave are better movies set in Scotland!

It's one of my favorites as well. Quint is a way better character then an Aussie trying to play a Scottsman. Apacolypto blew the big one as well!

regardless of the historical accuracy..as far as being a good movie, Braveheart is undisputably excellent and personally its in my top 5 if not top 3 ever.
