Samson, on that point I agree. The only policy that we should be dictating to other countries is a no tolerance to terrorism. I agree the U.S. has overstepped some bounds historically. Democracy is a government of the people and while I agree we should encourage other nations to persue a free government like Democracy, we should never engange militarily.
There is only one problem in the statement you made...THE GREATEST TERRORIST IN THE WORLD IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN AMERICA...When I mentioned the FOREIGN POLICIES of america that was just one example of terrorism america has exacted on Middle Eastern nations. The Persian Gulf war built on the LIE of Saddam attacking Kuwait and the TERRORIST ACT of war america exacted on Iraq (1.5 MILLION IRAQI killed so far and the country destroyed). This was followed by many attacks on Iraq under the name of Desert Fox, Desert Storm, Desert This and Desert That...now we sit at Desert Iraqi Freedom. From this has been the LIES about WMD, Nuclear Weapons, Al Qaeda, Taliban, all of these LIES associated with Iraq that WERE NOT TRUE. All of this done to steal the natural resource: OIL from Iraq and set up military bases all over Iraq, which has now been done. American foreign policy essentially is the permission to steal whatever it wants from other nations under military force under the cloak of LIES about national security, terrorism, Democracy or some other nonsense. america is now involved with Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia(you don't really think those supposed PIRATES are Somali do you?), Georgia (Russia), threats against Haiti, Venezuela, Columbia, Philippines, Zimbabwe, Syria, Jordan, Cuba and the list goes on and on...and all of these nations have NATURAL RESOURCES AMERICA WANTS. america is a SICK, VILE AND VIOLENT nation...it is just sad to know that the people of the nation can't see it.
Now america sits beholden to WTO agreements and policies which will dictate what goes on in america and it economy as its own greed has been it demise. As we can see from some of the posters to this thread many are totally EMPTY HEADED about what is really going on in the world, about americas foreign policies and especially as Jaguarenterprises brought up THE WTO and the WTOs role in the WORLD ECONOMY. And as she said, when the groups gathered to make people aware of the sinister agenda of the WTO most people laughed them off, called them crazy, even said the police should just round them up and shoot and or jail them all. Now with america in the toilet everyone can now see the importance of those demonstrations... UNFORTUNATELY IT IS TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT CHANGING THE WTO POLICIES. America will now be SUBJECT to the WILL of other nations...especially European nations by way of the WTO and already people are beginning to fear what repercussion will come to america because of it. Again like Jaguarenterprises said...while the typical american was worried about Brittany Spears, Madonna, IPods and other nonsense (just like today is the SUPERBOWL) a whole other world was unfolding before them, which, if they were conscious to, they may have been able to stop...but now thanks to laziness and ignorance americans will suffer tremendously at the hands of the WTO in the same way it has made other nations suffer at the hands of its Foreign Policies and LIES.
