this is true, people in their twenties are the first generation after the individulism era  that we all grew up with. WE live in a more conforming world. Just look at fashion. Almost everyone looks the same today. It seems they all shop at banana republic or a&f and are proud that they all look the same.. Just a change in ideals.  We have to conform to keep up in a global economy, no more time for individualism or personal creativeness. Fit in or you are out.

What the hell is it with Flip flops and shorts for college students?

The women seem to all dress like they are wearing pajamas, or wears those super short shorts and shirts too tight.
