After the Arnold Classic finals, and after we took some pics backstage, we would up going to the Party with the Pro's, which was right next to Nationwide Arena where the UFC fight was being held.
The problem was that there was NO parking anywhere around there, and our friends wound up dropping Lonnie Teper and myself out so we can go and check it out. They arrived about 40 minutes later after finding parking far back.
There were two entrances, one for the ticket holders, and one for the VIPs. At around 11pm, the first line had over 100 people there, but was moving. The VIP line was much smaller, and yes, you got a wristband to go upstairs. That lasted until midnight, when they opened the upstairs to everyone.
There were a lot of pros there, I saw Kai Greene, Dexter Jackson, and many others.
And yes, it was packed. Full. Both the upstairs and the downstairs.
That is the problem with a party that is successful. A lot of people go to it.
I enjoyed the entertainement - a guy drawing around in 5 minutes on a chalkboard .... two guys impersonating Arnold as Conan and as the Terminator ... and a guy going inside a pink balloon and doing some funny shit.
Ok, the last one was kinda corny, but afte a few shots of Jack Daniels (free upstairs), I laughed quite a lot at it.
The dance floor was full, a lot of people were taking pictures, and many of the pros were very gracious.
Yes, upstairs had food - a great dessert bar, lots of food on both sides, and no one went hungry.
They did a great job at this party!
P.S. There was the other party, which was promoted by Jason Dhir, which also was packed too, when we got there around 12:45am. So there is most definately room for both parties, and each had its unique tastes.
