Both congress and IAG should be on the same side of the table, and a million taxpayers on the other side.

Dont you get already?????

This is show for the idiot taxpayers.

Congress and AIG are partners in crime and playing good cop bad cop routine that is older than dirt.

The only reason why this hearing was held was to try to cover up what congress created, in other words, they are trying to cover their asses and want to pin it on someone else. The only thing they did was to make asses of themselves.

They can't make the people from the AIG to shut up.

Regardless what you or anyone think, some disclosure is better than no disclosure at all.

It will lead to more transparancy, and more people talking.

Why say no to hearings, I don't get it?

I don't think it's nearly enough. I want much more. But to say that they're a waste? Huh?`

Coach, you like having your politicians making all the decisions without you knowing what the hellz they're doing?

Because that's what it looks like?

Congress only cares about the peoples' opinions in election years.

Generally very true.
At least some voters they only care about during voting years.
Like senior citizens - high voting there, and lots of pork going that direction when the election gets closer.
But in between, the ol' folks gets sodomized on a regular basis.
Then it's usually the big corps and the strong (eg oil and tobacco) lobbys that get what they want.

Off topic.......but if the president or congress gave a shit they wouldn't be proposing having our retired troops pay their own medical. They literally treat terroists with more respect.
