What's next for Fedor Animaleanenko?
« on: January 25, 2012, 12:49:38 PM »
What's next for Fedor Animaleanenko?

Will Fedor start eating meat again and regain some of his past glory?

Will he dump Rasputin and get a reputable spiritual advisor?

Will he beg Dana White for a chance to fight anyone?

Will he simply go down in weight class and become an extremely dominant light heavyweight?

Times up for him man. He's over the hill. He should retire he really doesn't have much more to prove.

Imagine getting hit by this.

0:15.

That's some real ground and pound power. Sick of seeing these silly, weak rabbit punches from the current crop of fighters.

Great angle to get an idea of the power. A lot of guys now in the mount position, they don't seem to pick there shots. They just hammer wildly with no real power. You should be knocking guys out from the mount position!

7:55 (ironically same angle also)

Listen to that shit :/

I dont understand how Big Nog was still conscious after that shot, and the following ones. Not human.

Brutal,

That would have KO'd pretty much anyone in the world apart from Nog. Gotta wonder the long term damage from those type of shots  :o

Scary

I watched a whole day of pride fights with a friend of mine, we just couldn't believe the difference. The way guys transitioned to submissions so quickly, the punches they threw sounded like a baseball bat hitting a piece of meat. They went out there to really fuck eachother up. Maybe it was the high amount of peds that were used I don't know. The ground and pound was way better. Like mentioned about you would see guys picks their shots and get pretty brutal ko's from the top.

It's not good to be That tough. You're Supposed to go out and not take anymore shots after that Everyone would.. except Nog. Exactly. Still going but looks 50yr old @ 35 or whatever he is. Doesnmt want to retire either. And was beating mir until he was stupid enough to try and take the back instead of throwing 2 more shots so the ref would stop it

Add knees to the fucking head when someone tries and take you down and fails.. Its because of that everyone these days can go for td's All the time, and doesn't Pay for it like you did in pride. If you shot in for a td, gut stuffed to it ended up with your stomach against the mat and the fella over you, you got kneed to the fucking head and that was the end of that fight.

hmm. Maybe "Sprawl" is the correct word for that

edit* yes it was.

This often happends in ufc when someone fails a td =

when that happened in pride you were Fucked, other factors also ofc. But that rule change I think made a Lot of difference

The action appeared more real because the camera guys could stick the camera through the ropes and get real close to the action. In the UFC, you've got the cage distorting the view so a lot of the ground and pound action is filmed from above, where you really don't get an appreciation of the power or impact of the shots.

Is there such a thing as a reputable spiritual adviser?

Truth is 99% of the time, once you're on the way down, that's it you're done, but there might be a chance maybe he was just burnt out and might be able to go down that "all out mentality" road again, afterall he just beat jeff m.
