Wow That sucks!

Especially when you realize the only reason marijuana was made illegal was at the behest of Big Money interests.

DuPont was heavily invested in cotton... which of course could not compete with hemp, ...so using their power and influence, the DuPonts ensured the hemp family was illegal to cultivate. George Washington grew hemp ffs!

Not sure what people can do, ...it is quite the conundrum. we had a similar situation here a while back.

A very popular and professional medical marijuana dispensary was shut down as a hydroponic grow op.
Citizens launched a massive class action suit against the gov. One of the central claims was that the gov was putting citizens at risk forcing them to acquire their medicine on the streets from criminals, and at risk of buying marijuana that could be laced with PCP. Unfortunately, the gov grown pot was derided at crap and not very potent.

About 4 years ago a girlfriend invested $12 G's to purchase exclusive distribution rights to medical marijuana in Alberta. Her medical marijuana isn't smoked, but instead comes in a pill form and a user can't get high off it.

don't spin,... now tell me it won't be worse now that they said they won't?  It was policy under Bush.  So yea, it's worse to tell us they won't enforce over the states in this area and then turn around and nail them.  That' not approving of the way it was under Bush or saying the drug war is better under Obama, it's saying the raiding of a medical marijuana dispenser now would be worse with them saying they would not do it.  It was expected the feds would do it under Bush, it was DOJ policy.  Surely you see this?  The statement that it might as well be now is adding a blatant hypocrisy and entrapment to it that hasn't to my knowledge happened. Yes, I do expect them to hold to their word and I would be more upset over a breach in statements from DOJ "U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder confirmed that he was ending federal raids on medical marijuana facilities unless they are in violation of both state and federal laws."

Keep in mind, this is not saying they're ending the war on drugs and there will be no more marijuana arrests.  It does say that the stuff in that video above wouldn't happen the same way.

He wasn't playing ball with the CIA anymore. Do you think it was possible for the US to maintain such a decade long stranglehold of an embargo on Iraq, a country thousands of miles away, such that not even a single grain of rice could get in there, ...but lack the ability to control the flow of drugs into their own country?
