Clarke came to widespread public attention for his role as counter-terrorism czar in the Clinton and Bush Administrations in March 2004.
Four successive US presidents have picked Richard Clarke to defend the country against terrorists.

His fourth boss, George W Bush, may be regretting the choice.

Mr Clarke has turned on his former master, a year after stepping down as the cyber-security adviser charged with protecting America against an "electronic Pearl Harbour".

He has accused President Bush of doing a "terrible job" fighting terrorism - of ignoring the 'al-Qaeda' threat before 11 September 2001 and distorting it afterwards.

Richard I was ignored by everybody Clarke. He was ignored by Clinton, ignored by Bush and now needs or wants to sell books. How come Bill never listened...maybe Clark couldn't package his info correctly.

Yes it is a very easy defense to say "whistle blower" status is just 'sour grapes' - blah blah....

Oh, now he is going to do a "kiss & tell" job - enter - 'Letterman show' spot (other talk show circuit options).
But such knee jerk reactions deflect form the facts that are being presented (put on the table)  by the author.


Have you read "the scorpions gate" ?? do you know what he is alleging ??
Is it not far better to listen to each accusation in turn & then either A) disprove it B) accept it.
