Why do you think that is?

Because the overwhelming majority of the country believes in God and atheists are the least trusted group in America.

Do you think this is warranted?

Do you really think a self-professed atheist could be elected to the office of the presidency? Hardly...therefore, lip service.

Even by your standards, this is pathetic. I don’t know where you and Adonis get this conspiracy closet atheist stuff, but (aside from it being a barrel of laughs) it has no basis, whatsoever.

Of course, that would still leave you with the rather tall and ridiculous task of defending why it supposedly kosher to lie to get into office, as long as you’re fibbing about being a Christian.

I doubt it; look at all the shit he has done to piss off Christians...

Plenty of presidents have done that.

Because the overwhelming majority of the country believes in God and atheists are the least trusted group in America.

Along with the fact that too many atheists have attitudes just like Deicide.

Of course, he's still at a loss as to why people wouldn't elect someone who insults and belittle them and their beliefs.....real head-scratcher there!!!

Again, got any more foolishness you wish to spout?

Not really.  I have atheist friends that I trust, and I know professed Christian people I don't trust.  But that doesn't change the public-wide perception.

I also agree with McWay's comments that atheists with attitudes like yours and others who post on the board don't really help the atheist cause much.
