If this was in a sanctioned state is the US, he would definitely be punished.
No excuse for this. In that condition, one punch too many can be dangerous, possibly lethal.

Probation..he apologized later. Anyone knows that if your in a fight and you feel you are losing then find a weakness and get the upper hand, you just go ape shit on his ass. One rugby game the dude kept elbowing to the face..caught me 2x and I warned him..the next time he did it, it took 4 players to pull me off his ass. I got two stitches over my left eye, he got 17 between 3 different cuts.

Got a 2 game suspension.
