Not being sensitive. I have only ever lived in Sydney. Obviously there are differences between Syd and Perth, but like i said, you have lived in both the US and Aus, so i will take your word for it.

I admit I can't comment on Australia as a whole or even all of WA. Just Perth and its suburbs, and just because I'm from the US doesn't mean I have some unique insight. Everyone has their coloured glasses on. Talk to another American living in WA and he'd probably tell you I'm wrong on all counts.
