I'm not sure about the mud, but you'd basically dive down to a catfish den, wave your hand around inside or around like a wounded fish, and wait for the fish to come for it.

Bro, trust me...I have been on the boat with women and they were scared as hell but they went through with it. Diving with Sharks is just getting over a mental fear.

They are big and some are as big as 22" but you are in good hands with whatever tourist group that you go with.

Funny I was just about to post that. This is quite common in the southern states. I grew up in Oklahoma near the Arkansas river which was prime territory for noodling huge cat fish.

I know a few guys who have done it. they were the type of guys who laugh about giving a guy who fucked with them a "smiley." if you don't know what a "smiley" is, google it. never heard of it anywhere but the south.

lol, well, these guys were bad mother fuckers. I consider myself fairly able to handle my way in bad situation, but fuck, these guys had stories (and you can tell they weren't lying) that made me feel like a pussy from california.

for those curious:

the california smiley is curbing (see american history x)

the southern smiley is putting your foot on the back of a guys head, and then fishhooking their cheeks open, ripping their lips apart, just damn near ripping their face off.

note to self: don't beat up a sothern guys sister
