Just 42% of GM Owners Likely to Buy GM Again
Rasmussen Reports ^ | June 8, 2009

Only 42% of those who currently own a General Motors car are even somewhat likely to buy a GM product for their next car. That figure includes just 30% who are Very Likely to do so.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 43% of current GM owners are not likely to buy another GM car, while 16% are not sure.

Democrats who own GM cars are somewhat more likely than others to buy their next car from GM.

This data is the latest evidence of how steep a hill GM must climb as it hopes to increase sales and return to profitability. Only six percent (6%) of non-GM owners are now Very Likely to buy from GM.

...

Overall, among all adults, 16% say they are Very Likely to buy their next car from GM. That figure is slightly below the auto giant's current share of the domestic auto market.

Another 10% of all adults are somewhat likely to buy from GM while 60% are not likely to do so.

Younger adults, those under 40, are less likely than their elders to consider a GM product for their next car.

The government bailout and takeover of General Motors remains very unpopular among the public. Just 26% of Americans believe the bailout was a good idea, and nearly as many support a boycott of GM products.

Fifty-one percent (51%) of Americans nationwide say they are now more likely to buy a Ford since that company did not take any bailout funding. Only 12% are less likely to buy from Ford.

Wow, who would have guessed?

Actually everyone would have guessed.  After all, the far right hasn't been effective in any of their past boycotts, so why would this boycott of GM be any different?

Guess what?  TFR boycotted Disney.  Yet, nearly every one of past visitors would likely visit Disney again.
Guess what?  TFR boycotted Kraft Foods.  Yet, nearly every one of Kraft's past customers returned to their products again and again.
Guess what?  TFR boycotted other things and yet - ready for it? - nearly every one of those companies still thrive on repeat business.

Your point here was WHAT exactly?  To only parrot what I said in the previous thread that TFR little boycott going to be as effective as their brain cells?  So basically, you are agreeing with me here.

Or are you confused once again and trying to make some kind of point here but just don't know what it really is?  Which is it?

If obama saying CEOs shouldn't blow $ in Vegas is somehow responsible for a slowdown in LV gambling spending during a recession...

Then I got a really good feeling saying Americans shouldn't buy American cars juuuust might somehow be perceived as responsible for part of any future GM woes.

Dems will ALWAYS have the defense that "It would have worked, but Newt and Rush and Palin boycotted American cars - and American jobs".  The Far Right would be best served to stay quiet on this one, let obama's sucky idea fail, and come out on top.  Now the Dems can say the R's were part of the failure, and if even a single person doesn't buy American because of this strike - the dems will be right.

that reminds me of his pleasure trip to new york to take his wife on a date.  is that all there really was to it?  if that's a true story, telling CEOs not to spend in vegas is bullshit.

back on topic, anyone else think this is a terrible commercial?  i know the point they are trying to get across but the wording is horrible.  who put this thing together
