Radio voice vs. real looks
« on: June 18, 2009, 07:20:23 AM »
Ever hear a chick on the radio that has an amazing voice that you like to listen to then when you finally see her face you are like WTF!  It's amazing how the voice never matches the face.  probably why these chicks are on radio and not TV.

I listen to Playboy radio sometimes on sirius and these hosts sound hot as hell.  So I looked some up on google and it was quite the dissapointment.

You would be astounded at how ugly most on-air radio talent is.  I used to have to look through the glass at them.

Look up Neveen.  She is on the Jammin 107.5 playhouse.  Hot and sounds hot, beautiful Egyptian woman...with great Arab genetics.

Oh yes, absolutely...I will let you in on another secret of the industry,...eighty percent of those who work in it are pot heads.  Without a doubt and I am not exaggerating.  This includes politically conservative talk show hosts (I'll let you speculate on who I am referring to, I am referring to more than one,... I personally know of three)...this includes management at all levels, engineering staff, clerical staff.  It goes back to the very beginning, when live muscians were part of the daily routine.  The staff restrooms at Radio City in 30 Rockefeller Center in the 1930's were rife with weed.

Will you stop.  I've dealt with Entercom, Clear Channel, Greater Media and Citadel from a consulting standpoint and everything you say is basically bullshit.  How would you know what jocks in markets from all over the country do?  You don't.  There are millions of radio stations out there, and you're saying you know what 80% of the employees do?....right.  You know three jocks who smoke weed, but claim to know what the entire industry does? Whats up with all these getbig experts lately?  I've dealt with a ton of radio executives and most of them are very intelligent suits who surely don't smoke weed while on the job. Regional Controllers, GSM's, Market Managers, Jocks, Global Marketing Executives - etc.

What market are you in and who do you know?  Let me guess, Guglielmo Marconi and Peter Symth  ::)

Perhaps I noised off a little here, but its true nontheless.  I am not naming names because I never burn bridges.

Why would you burn a bridge? I'm sure you know guys like Peter Smyth and and the Mays brothers, right?  You know 80% of the industry and all kinds in "insider tips".  They wont know who you are...you've got a secret "handle" here.

I'm in the industry, not my pot heads as far as I can see.  a lot of pot head college age interns, but not amongst the on air talent.
