Psyllium husk has a shitload (no pun intended) of benefits.
It is a bulk forming laxative that helps you go, but doesn’t make you go.
It’s good for people who suffer from different types of bowel inflammation – IBS, Crohn’s, etc.
If you’re trying to lose weight, maybe consider a sugar free mix like Konsyl. A lot of other powders (and I’d imagine many of the good tasting snacks) contain some amounts of sugar, which probably accounts for the yummy taste.
Anyway, don’t forget to eat some fiber from other sources like vegetables and fruits. Psyllium is a type of grain, so you’ve got that source covered.
