Obama nears $1 million in legal fees to keep birth certificate, college records from being disclosed

A variety of sources are now indicating, that Barack Obama has spent nearly $1 million in Attorney fees the last two years, to keep his personal records from being disclosed. Those records include the original copy of his birth certificate, and his college transcripts.
From the Tampa Bay Tribune, July 22:
a study from the United States Justice Foundation has released information showing that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds with 11 law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records.Most of the attention has been focused on Obama’s birth certificate in recent months. And in recent days, the issue has received a great deal of major media attention, including CNN, Fox News, and just last night Chris Matthews on MSNBC.
But a battle is going on with disclosure of Obama’s college transcripts, as well. Continuing from the Trib.:
Another group, Americans for Freedom of Information, have released copies of Obama’s college transcripts from Occidental College. The transcript showed that Obama, under the name of Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was given by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by a group in the Superior Court of California.
The prime law firm in defending Obama in these cases is Perkins Coie. Records indicate the firm has received over $650,000 from Obama to keep his personal records secure from the public.
