these "he got destroyed, PWNED etc" videos are viral on purpose.

It divides people more. Then you have 10'000'000 more TA's or 10'000'000 more 333386's. All going around like knowitalls

With no one ever coming to a reasonable consensus

I don't even know why serious people go on The Daily Show. If Stewart doesn't agree with you, he brings you on, doesn't let you talk, makes fun of you and expresses his own opinion while leaving you with no chance/time to retort. And if the guest gets annoyed or responds sharply then Stewart simply hides behind the fact that his show is a "comedy" show and shouldn't be taken seriously.

This is his M.O and has been forever. I do enjoy watching his show but you can def. tell from the moment the "interview" gets started which way it will be going.

He just has a great setup and he is witty, self-deprecating and funny. And the fact that he will never admit that his show is a, when he wants it to be, serious news show lets him hold all the cards during interviews.

Great post. There really hasn't been any honest debate between opposing sides on this issue. Each media outlet is simply trying to convince their viewers of a certain viewpoint. Lopsided interviews, YouTube videos, yelling and mocking...the list goes on. Lots of attempts to inflame the public....but not many actual attempts to inform.
