Because he is allowing the left wing of the democratic party to dominate and create policy.  He campaigned as a centrist democrat and a uniter....he is not.

Go back to November.   You can read my posts.

I said very clearly that Obama would be ok so long as he did not let Pelosi run the agenda.  He did the opposite and is getting hammered because of it.

He absolutely deserves it too.  Most people don't like Pelosi or the liberal left of the democratic party.

I thought I read he was at 54% approval rating but I'm sure different sources will have different #s.  The majority do agree that his approval ratings are dropping.  There's no more confusion on who Obama is and what his priorities are.

This was always going to happen.  He helped set himself up for a big fall with an over promise of hope without understanding and instilling in American's just how hard it will be to get back economically.  However, it's in his best interest to have a less favorable review right now because when things get better (and they will) prior to the 2012 elections he will be riding high again.

Better a dip in opinion now than in 2012.
Abandon every hope...

If Barry doesn't keep control of Congress in 2010, 2012 won't matter.

True, he overpromised and is trying to deliver on all (which is perhaps admirable from a work ethic standpoint but not logical...you can't hurry things through without complete debate and analysis).  Obama is allowing the left wing of the party run the show and thats why his #s are suffering, along with the fact that the economy is slow to recover and he has created the largest deficit we have ever seen with minimal effect.
