The ISPs in the UK were forced to block those sites on 30th October because of a High Court Order telling them to do so. Before than the BPI (British Phonographic Industry) had issued them with letters politely asking them to block certain torrent sites. The ISPs failed to act and so the BPI went to the courts to seek an order.

Most of the sites I've been using recently such as torrentz.eu, monova, and torrenthound have now been blocked but rarbg.com thankfully still works - it was one of the better ones anyway. Never really used any of the pirate proxys.

The whole thing is like whack-a-mole - they shut certain sites down and another one comes up anyway.
