Stayed on for the majority of about a 3yr period once. Few short breaks in there...6-8wks, if I took an off period.

I stayed off everything for nearly a year...actually it might be right at a year. Got back on a couple wks ago...nothing special, pretty much the same sort of stuff I've always done. Right now, simply test deca and dbol...will add some HGH when it comes in.

I know what you mean...it's very hard to enjoy training as much without it. It's like watching the super bowl on the best TV in the world and then next year trying to watch it on an old black and white.

So why not just do very light cutting cycles with non-aromatizing drugs and try not to go above your genetic max for muscle (sounds like you have plenty naturally)?  If you could do GH year round it (or just in between cycles) would help to maintain your condition in between cycles.  Then, IMO, if you use HCG during cycle, you will bounce back very quickly.

Yes, afterward you will be fighting a tough battle to stay in that shape, but it you do it three times per year for a good 6-8 weeks, you will do a pretty good job of it.  At least that's what I would try just to stay in shape....

Maybe Local Hero has decided to stop gearing cause he would like to pursue a more healthy, holistic lifestyle?  Nothing wrong with that, probabaly a good move on his part for overall health.

Yes must make him think "danm these kids think they are the shit.  I wanna get back on and let them see what it really is about"  Very tempting when your not being noticed as the biggest lad in the gym anymore or kicking ass on stage and the young lads are not giving the respect deserved.  Ego can pull people right back into it.  Hell I have felt the same way myself, someone or the world may piss me off and it's back on right now!  Maybe LH does not feel like this but I have at times LOL.

I love to train off, and especially on. With that being said, I have been on since May with no intention of coming off anytime soon. I have been blasting and cruising, and it has reaped some very good gains.

been off since january, and it sucks.  exactly like watchin the superbowl on a black and white TV after watching on HD.

trying to get the wife prego, so not going on till she is.  sucks training, and losing a little size and strength, not very motivational at all...

was temtped just do to a small test cycle, but decided to wait so it doesn;t mess up the chances.

I am by no means criticizing.  I just think it's possible to use them in a healthy manner where it doesn't mess with your head due to gaining, losing, gaining, losing, gaining losing....

Look, if you go above your genetic max, come off and your hormone levels normalize, you will gradually lose muscle until you are at least back to your genetic max.  You body can only hold so much muscle natually.

It's also hard to get very lean naturally.  Let's say you are at your genetic max (best) in terms of muscle and bodyfat and want to cut down.  You will likely lose muscle unless you use some mild AAS to prevent muscle loss.  You can only get so lean naturally.

If you don't care about gaining muscle you can simply use a light cycle a couple times per year to get leaner than otherwise possible.  Yes, you will graudally gain the fat back, bu it's easier to maintain than too much muscle.

Plus, I think it's healthy to stay lean.
