Dude - I think you need to learn on how various articles work, in my opinion, based on various magazines, not necessarily Flex.

In terms of Bob Chick, and others, they actually write or record their own words on what they want in the article.  Either the answers, the topic, and the words.  It is put down, and they there is an editorial editor, who actually checks it, and puts it in correct grammatical form, or as some people call 'newspaper or magazine' form.

Sometimes, they ask for an elaboration of whatever idea they wanted to convey, and sometimes, they just leave it as it is, but rearranging things.

As for a ghost writer, there are some, but not usually for every athlete. Rewriting it yes, but actually making things up, rarely.

i might be wrong, but i thought the writer just interviewed or gets a rough draft for the bber. Then s/he writes the article, and puts the bber name on it.

I wish someone would ghost write his posts so we don't have to read all the groundbreaking stuff.

Hate to burst your bubble, but I write all my own material...not even the "interview" format of writing articles...I actually WRITE them, and submit them in for editing...

I like the articles where they'll have the Bber start by using some gangster-ish slang terms, then move right into breaking down mitochondrial myopathy.

ROFL...ya, those kill me.. and then for the last sentence they go back to ebonics 'know what I'm saying homie!?' after putting down three eloquent paragraphs on advanced chemistry/biology... classic.

Ron, I know what you're trying to say, but what about before the internet got so popular, or the widespread availability of DVDs?

Ronnie Coleman.  Just flip through his 'articles' from FLEX earlier this decade...namely, BEFORE the release of the Mits video, The Unbelieveable..we all discoved how Ronnie actually speaks, which was NOTHING like FLEX magazine would have you believe.  Nor did he employ 'full' ranges of motion in exercises.

Basically, the mags need to do a better job of either getting the athletes information, or at least tell us, the buying public, that they're not getting the 'info' directly from the athelete.

To be fair, FLEX has finally started coming around since the departure of McGeogh...not sure if that's the reason, but as you can see since Donnelly is in charge, there's actual PROFANITY within FLEX...wow.  Now, you'd see a curse word or two over the years...but now?...happens all the time.  At least that's a change that steers the ship away from the 'vision' that Weider had with his 'holier than thou' front he slapped on professional bodybuilding.
