Maybe   but I once met George Forman    he told me  (while limping and with scar tissue on his face)never worry about effects you will face from giving your all.   Yeah   I bet Lee Haney, Yates, as well as otehr athletes Aikman,  Montana all have ill effects from trying to be the best they can be.  Drug use has SOME to do with it but so is .....hard training, and just simply giving that little extra..those fearing the future avoid.  The word "better off" is made up by those giving self praise to whatever they've never accomplished.

i think the drugs make up most of the problems later in life.
