I know you thought the pats got a steal in Brandon Tate.... Read this:

Patriots WR/KR Brandon Tate, on the PUP list while recovering from last year's ACL surgery, is holding out hope of playing this season. Tate said he has the playbook "down pat" and will be ready to go as soon as he's eligible in Week 7. The NCAA record holder for combined kick return yardage, he'd be an asset on special teams if he can return at 100 percent by mid-season.

Awesome.  The guy was the clear #1 at UNC before getting hurt.....ahead of Nicks.  He has better hands and was a better route runner.  He will be a monster in the return game.  I'd love to see him do something.  Great attitude from what I've heard around Chapel Hill.

Better hands
I knew he was faster and could take it to the house every time he touched the ball.
for some reason where I live NC. got alot of tv time last year.he was a very exciting player to watch.
I was hoping the Giants took him with a late round pick

Ha,look at the Giants.they draft good at every position but wr.hopefully that has changed with Reece now in charge.

Better hands

Much more consistent hands, Nicks will make a spectacular catch and then drop a routine one.  Tate doesn't drop many.  Also, he would be awesome in the slot catching stuff across the middle and making people miss.  Kinda like Welker.

It is refreshing to see the Tar Heels spoken of in a football discussion without being ridiculed.  Probably won't win the ACC, but can at least win the state title and get to a bowl more than five years old.

I saw where Duke beat NC Central last week.  I sent an e-mail to the Duke AD suggesting they call it The Nifong Bowl but he never got back to me.  I guess he was busy.
