Jay doing another "O"

On last week's PBW, appeared undecided if he would compete again. Said he has his 3 Arnold trophies and 3 Sandows......

Will he want to end on a high note or try to keep onto the title?

if he's smart, he'll retire

but not many people can retire from bodybuilding, they find out that they don't have a life outside bodybuilding. Arnold and Haney were exceptions.

Something the weiders should do for all Pro's...

Hire a full time financial advisor and reach out to people that want help...

Just like many athletes..these guys live in the "now" and don't look at the future..

Heck look at Lenny Dykstra......made almost 40 mil in baseball and was caught in a pawn shop trying to sell his rings...sad

But back to the thread..

It is the age old question for any sport...retire on top or push for another championship and risk failure...

Why? He won dominantly and is good to go for at least 2 years, if not 3 or even 4. He just needs to show up like he did this year. If he improves, all the more better.

There's no one competing currently who can outmuscle Jay and beat him if he's dialed in.

because look at what he did. He proved against all doubts that he can surprise basically everyone and come in at an almost unbelieveable shape. How can he top this? By coming in better shape next year. Is that possible given Jay's history? Not likely. Is jay going to put the same amount of effort into winning a contest he won already as he would if he lost that contest the last time? Looking by his history, no. So the chances are favorable that he'll come in next year looking not as impressive as he was this year (even if he wins next year).

I think a good connection would be with Arnold at the 80 O. Arnold was motivated to train hard because the competition was a lot tougher than it use to be so he had to be as good, and slightly better, than the top guys. If Arnold had competed again in 81, would he have trained as hard? Probably not because he knew he could win with X amount of effort, why put in X+1 amount of effort to beat the same guys, who were already at their best condition.

I bet you every penny I own that Cutler will compete in next year's Olympia - he'll chase the money for as long as realistically possible - he's only 35 now - Coleman was still winning the O at 40.

if he can show up in the same shape again he would be stupid not to do it. NO ONE is gonna beat him, the only one that is close is victor martinez.
