my mom
« on: October 19, 2009, 09:21:17 PM »
i always go running with her, but for the last few weeks she has been going to the gym with me. ever since then i have been noticing myself getting a lot stronger and i have more focus.

i think it has a lot to do with the ego being gone with her around.

there is a downside though, every female in the gym seems to gravitate themselves towards my mom. this is horrible for me. i have been spending 2 1/2 hours a day at the gym lately(it take me about 45 minutes to workout) because all these girls want to talk to my mom!!!!!

this ever happened to anyone else?

She should say, "hey here is my son...", Scratch that, that is a repellant. No woman wants  to speak to a dude whose mom introduces them. That is if you wanted to talke to those women.

I think it's sweet you workout w/your mom!

I'd tell her how much you enjoy working out w/her but all the talking is keeping you at the gym longer than you'd like to be there.

She probably enjoys talking and doesn't want to be rude to others but you can just try to keep the workout moving along.  Even if someone is talking to your mom, bring her the weights and say "10-15 reps, 3 sets."  Or whatever.  She'll do a set then start talking again maybe...give her about 1 min of that and say "OK next set."  Keep her moving until your w/o is done.

Or you could drive there separately and workout separately, spotting each other occasionally if need be.  If she wants to sit on a machine and drink coffee for 20 minutes talking to some other gal (like some chicks do at my gym) you can still do your workout and leave.

i haven't, but i really don't think it matters. i just don't live the kind of life style that i am willing to change for anyone.

i have been in different relationships for about the last 10 years and now that i am single, not looking, and not interested my life has become so much easier. i honestly wish i would have realized this sooner so i could have stopped wasting my time a long time ago.

Some people are like lions, needing to and wanting to live with others(prides).

Other people are like tigers, solitary and territorial, preferring to be alone and perfectly happy that way.
