Never been a fan of the guy.  I'd say he's getting older and it's probably not as ez to get that shredded look still.  Or his connections aren't what they were.  As far as the natural claim years ago, I tend to believe that he was as he was under 190 if i remember right.

Forgot to add that once he quit talking about being natty he suddenly blew up.  It was a pretty drastic change in his physique.

Yeah, it was his first pro win I think, and he looked his best. In fact, I think he looked better than Heath did at the COlorado Pro.

He made a mistake trying to gain size, he doesnt have the frame for it better for him to stay ripped.

In his MuscleTime DVD he said he never does cardio.  If that is the truth then adding some in should be able to offset his metabolism slowing down with age if that is in fact the cause of his decline in conditioning.  Darrem is 41 and has a long history of coming into contests in shape!  Here is Darrem seen attending the 2009 NPC Houston Pro:

he said he was bulking up for 2010 and didnt want the O to interfere with that. I dont buy that at all unless his competing qualifies him for the net mr o (nt sure about the rules). why the hell would u show up looking that sloppy at the O unless u really fucked up?

Yeah, I don't get that either.  He was way off.  Although I will agree he looked bigger than usual so maybe if he dials it in next year he will compete with this added mass.
