Life is very short. Grab happiness where you can find it and ignore the critics.
Having said that, what strikes me about this photo is how much these two women look alike. I always marvel (and not in a good way) when I see couples who look so much alike. Every time you look at your significant other it’s like looking in a mirror. There is something strangely narcissistic about such unions--at least visually. In the whole wide world, with literally billions of choices, the person you find most attractive—attractive enough to be with—is the person who looks just like you.
By the way, this 'mirror effect' is not limited to same sex couples; you can see it in heterosexual unions as well. This phenomenon gives new meaning to the phrase "self select."
