Deflation II: biggest loser
« on: December 02, 2009, 03:29:06 PM »
It's nice to see these people get in shape... buy how did they let things get so out of hand to begin with? ???

Allen started the show weighing 325 pounds. He lost 95 pounds in 11 weeks at the ranch, and weighed 220 pounds when we last checked on him...

Impressive transformations, in all honesty.. just like bodybuilding , anyone can do it, it just takes tremendous will power and mental focus/concentration..   on that show they pretty much have a 24/7 personal trainer motivating them to do it and to eat better..

I know I'm going to get a well deserved "outed" for this, but I love this show.

There is so much stupid ass gay reality programming, government run media, and gossip celebrity shit out there now that it's actually refreshing to watch a bunch of fat people say enough is enough.  It's pretty cool to watch the change in their personality, self esteem, and the way the speak at the end.  Amazing how body image and health has such an impact on people's lives.  This show should be government sponsored forever.  Maybe that would help bring some change

I agree and certainly won't make excuses for them, but I think the biggest thing is that unlike 99% of the severly obese population they are willing to put in an insane amount of work that even healthy people wouldn't want to do to turn it around.  After season 1 these people knew they were going to get the shit beat out of them, and they gladly accepted it.  That says something for them I think.  It seems the bulk (no pun intended :P) have managed to stay the course and keep it off.  I think that says something for the boot camp mentality of the show.

I would like to see competitors on the biggest loser have to face 1 single hungry attack dog at the end of each show.

Each week, the slowest (and presumably fattest) person would be mauled mercilessly.

By week 11 or 12, the dog would have a hellacious taste for blood, but I think the competitors would have adapted too.   They would run fast, zig-zag, push other competitors to the dog, or create weapons to kill the dog before it can maul them.

I think I would watch that, yes.

No, the dogs would not be hurt.  If a competitor tries to harm a dog, additional dogs would be released to even the score.  But you know, when they start seeing their digits go flying, they would probably neglect the rules and reach for a stick or something.

I bet the Vegas line would be awesome too - How many of you would happily wager on such a bloodsport?
