Rex Ryan wrote a bunch of checks with his mouth that his team couldn't cash. He has no control over the team. Bills win big.
Some guys are better assistants than head coaches in the NFL. Dick Lebeau, Wade Phillips, Ray Rhodes are examples.
But Ryan will at least get a second season to prove himself. I think the Jets' poor season has more to do with having a rookie QB throwing a shit load of interceptions rather than a lack of control over his team. But Sanchez is gaining valuable experience and the Jets may be greatly improved in 2010.
