Web Bot, or the Web Bot Project, refers to an Internet bot software program that is claimed to be able to predict future events by tracking keywords entered on the Internet. It was created in 1997, originally to predict stock market trends.[1] The creator of the Web Bot Project, Clif High, along with his associate George Ure, who call themselves "The Time Monks"[2], keep the technology and algorithms largely secret and sell the predictions via the website halfpasthuman.com.

[edit]Methodology

High and Ure say that the Web Bot works by using a form of the Wisdom of Crowds, with spiders that search the internet for about 300,000 keywords with emotional context[3] and record the preceding and following words to create a "snapshot." Through this, the technology is claimed to be able to examine the collective unconscious of the world as a whole. It is thus said to be able to predict catastrophic events 60 to 90 days in advance.
[edit]Predictions

[edit]Claimed hits
The Web Bot is claimed to have predicted several events prior to them occurring, most notably the September 11 attacks and the 2003 Northeastern United States blackout.[4] However, many believe the predictions are vague and, at best, pseudoscientific.[5]
September 11 attacks - In June 2001 Web Bot predicted that a catastrophic event would occur within the next 60–90 days.[6]
American Airlines Flight 587[7]
Space Shuttle Columbia disaster[8]
Northeast Blackout of 2003 - [8][9]
2004 Indian Ocean earthquake[6][9]
Hurricane Katrina and its devastation[10][9]
Dick Cheney hunting incident[8]
[edit]Misses
October 7, 2008 - Web Bot predicted that between September 22 and September 27, 2008, precursor events would lead up to a "main turning point date" on October 7, 2008 which would be more significant than the September 11 terrorist attacks and then major emotional turmoil would continue for nearly five months.[11]
A massive earthquake in Vancouver and the Pacific Northwest was predicted to occur on 12 December 2008.[12]
A "global coastal event" in mid-2009, which Ure and High said that they recommended people to stay away from coastal areas.[12]
A complete collapse of the US dollar beginning in 2009.[13]
October 25, 2009 - A catastrophe starts on October 25, 2009. It could be that the H1N1 flu virus reaches a level of extreme lethality, the US dollar completely collapses, or Israel bombs Iran. In reaction to this crisis, administration of U.S. President Barack Obama will be thrown into major chaos ten days later.[2][14]
[edit]Future predictions
Major catastrophe in 2012 - The Web Bot has gained most of its notoriety for contributing to the 2012 phenomenon by predicting that a cataclysm will devastate the planet in the year 2012, possibly a reversing of Earth's magnetic poles or a small series of nuclear attacks leading up to a major attack on this day. The prediction does not necessarily call for a complete end of the world.[15][16][17][18]
[edit]Reception

The History Channel has discussed Web Bot in its special Nostradamus Effect and on other shows featuring predictions about the end of the world.[19] A Globe and Mail journalist noted that "What interests me more than the bot's accuracy (of which I'm skeptical), is the relentless negativity of its projections. According to the bot, the future is always bleak and steadily worsening."[12]
Tom Chivers in the Daily Telegraph notes three criticisms of the project: "the internet might plausibly reveal group knowledge about the stock market or, conceivably, terror attacks [but] it would be no more capable of predicting a natural disaster than would a Google search, ... the predictions are so vague as to be meaningless, [and] the prophecies become self-distorting."[1][20]

I just saw a program about this on the discovery channel right now, and wanted to hear some feedback..i have the last two Webbot reports. However, it's against the law to upload them on the internet.

the webbot program predictions are very dire indeed..In the newest one, it says the dollar loses "reserve status" with in 6 months.

I have heard of it and I also saw a program on TV about the guys who use this program. It may be the same program I saw last year that you are now seeing. Only problem with the program is that it is more accurate after the fact than before...kind of post-diction effect rather than pre-diction. Interesting nonetheless. Where did you hear that posting this information is against the law? I have never heard of such a thing. So far as the american dollar not being the reserve currency anymore...that has already happened. That was announced some time ago. The only reason countries are still using it is to find a way to wiggle out of it without losing upwards of trillions of dollars in value while they switch to new currencies.

What else has the report said may happen?

I never heard of anything about the webbots until a friend told me about them a few months ago..I have the last two webbot reports, which cost money, and i didn't want to openly post them on the site, as that could lead to some serious troubles.
however, should you want a copy of them..Please PM me...

Hey Marcos

Someone posted them online. When i first saw your thread on this I searched and found the last 6 web bot reports. The person who posted them put up the interpretations of the information as opposed to the actual reports as each report goes on for many pages (60 pages in some cases). Much of what was said to happen actually has happened or is happening. Some things missed the mark, but then again this webbot program is not a prophet but a snap shot of scenarios that leave it to the interpretation of the inventors to discover if their interpretations and times are correct...which they are not always. Some eye brow raising events for sure. Even if some of what the report says comes to pass it would spell the end of america for sure and a horrible disruption of life on earth.
