But if you were a judge at a show would you place this guy above Jay Cutler? Would you really? How would you justify it, by saying Cutler is too big and that this guy looks "better"? If bb was judged by this type of subjective standard then it would remove the competitive aspect from it even more because more mass and more cuts wouldn't improve your chances. And what if another judge thought even this guy is too big and that a guy closer to Zane's size was more "ideal"? Lots of people would say Steve Reeves was the ultimate in size and cuts and proportions and any bigger and more cut is ugly. Maybe it should've stopped there.
To me (and from what I understand the original concept) bodybuilding is about aesthetics, size should always play second to proper balance, symmetry, proportions..I don't know if I would place him higher then Jay, but I've always considered the 80's physiques to be the height of bodybuilding, it's gotten ridiculous now..those guys had wasp waists..not the bloated distended markus ruhl's we see today.
