I don't get it. First he says there will be hyperinflation and then he he claims we will have deflation. You can't have both. Either we will have hyperinflation or we will have deflation. The interviewer did a piss poor job of not calling him out about this.

Know that Bob Chapman KNOWS what the is talking about. He doesn't have a crystal ball, but he has years of experience and lots of knowledge on financial matters. His predictions in the past have been right on and his prediction for what is to come is based on many factors, some of which are either unknown or so erratic he can not put his foot squarely on it, but what he says will come into being as some of the other financial analyst have predicted as well. Know that all that has been said by him and others paints a GLOOMY picture of america...something even the least intelligent person can now see coming into being. Before you get into trying to bash the man or trying to find fault in order to try and dismiss what he is saying, you better try and figure out what to do when these events begin unfolding in a greater fashion in america and the world

I didn't listen to the interview but I believe high inflation follows an period of strong deflation,  you could also have deflationary pressuers on certain areas while experiencing inflation in other areas.
