Think about it for a moment. What kind of an uproar would we see if they said they would start profiling white males between the ages of 30 - 75? The outcry would be so loud it would be absolutely deafening, ...but as long as it's Muslims, ...people are ok with it, and think it's perfectly acceptable. 

How about we recognize this shit for what it is? An attempt to gain further control over the public and erode rights.
As long as they do it with a marginalized group, it's easier for the general public to accept. Gradually, ...these will be extended to other groups... by which time, the majority of people will have been cooked like the frog. I don't believe muslim terrorists are the real targets behind all these additional measures. I believe the real targets, are average everyday Americans; people who have grown up with rights (or the illusions thereof). This is all a conditioning process.
