I get a laugh watching these shows like NCIS, Criminal Minds and CSI-NY/CSI-Miami.  They always have that one scene where they pull up every last detail imaginable about 180 possible possible suspects, in a flash.  We get to see how in every instance total information awareness is used for good.  Someone's life is always saved because they know everything about everyone and can call it all up in a few seconds.  Propaganda?

The real joke is how many people will be utterly against America becoming Orwellian, well after it already is.

The first 10 seconds is fitting ;D

Well the society becomes Orwellian after the masses are first told that giving up some rights for security is the best thing....

We all know what happens when you give someone an inch?...THEY TAKE A YARD. In the case of governments ...THEY TAKE A MILE.

Unfortunately the masses are so preoccupied with created distractions they don't see the walls closing in on them until they practically have  closed completely in around them... and by then it is too late to do anything about it except end up being squeezed. Some how a society has to be made to see the walls from far off and recognize what the walls are and what they intend to do. That unfortunately is the HARD PART.
