Interesting day today. I got to the office in the US and found out that a fairly senior guy got busted at the end of last month for robbing a bank.
Now - to put this in perspective, he was probably earning in excess of $150K, he had a wife and kids in college. He is pretty smart, fairly unfit and is not at all cut out for either bank robbery or prison time.
All this and he robs his local bank and goes back 3 weeks later to attempt to do the same thing.
He did have a very nice house that I visited about 5 years ago and he'd since upgraded to a bigger place. I suspect but don't know, that the re-mortgages caught up with him, either that or the guy flipped.
If someone like this can start robbing banks, it does make you wonder about all the REALLY desperate people out there...
