Man, they really pissed me off with all the McElroy praise tonight. The guy is terrible. Saying he's mediocre is a stretch. Every game he does just enough to not lose it for Bama. It's sad how much he gets carried by the rest of his team yet they couldn't STFU about how he's never lost as a starter.  ::)

McCoy's a pussy but I can't blame the guy. Got an NFL career to worry about.

That game was a fitting end to the worst college football season in years.

Bama #1 to start next year's polls. Boise State #2. They could have definitely hung with Bama tonight.

mccoy isnt soft. If he could throw the ball he would have played. Stop it.

tones do you watch much cfb? colt mccoy is as tough as they come. You cant really "wing it" on an arm injury like he took tonight. hes played through concussions numerous times. If he can throw the ball hes usually in the game.

this was one of the games he suffered a concussion in.

yesh yesh i remember that game very well, the Texas vs. A&M game is a really big deal down here gets played up alot even if both teams suck or just one in the case of A&M for the last decade or so.

He is a tough dude but he should have come back tonight bro, he was sidelined tonight not b/c of his shoulder but for the sake of his NFL career plain and simple...Nothing wrong with that by the way but it is what it is

no...i disagree. Texas made a game of it late. And if colt could play he would be in there because they had a shot. I have no affiliation with texas or mccoy. Just telling it like it is. It's not like he was the top prospect coming out anyway, or even top 5 or top 10 for that matter.

disagree look at his body language on the sidelines he was clapping running around, if he wanted to he could have been in there. It was a decision maybe not his decision but a decision made nonetheless to keep him out to protect him...sorry 2nd watch espn tomorrow they will be all over this showing him on the sidelines etc...he could have played.

espn will reach for anything possible. They become the tmz of sports imo and they can do this because there is no one 'cept fox sports to compete with them. They'll pull anything out of their ass for a little drama. If thats how you feel fine. But if colt could have played he would have.

oh yea, wtf is up with week 17 picks? Too poor to cough up 20 bones?

Some of you dudes need a reality check. I'd love to see what you look like after a 300 lb, SEC, defensive linemen, barrels helmet first into your shoulder, at full speed.  Come on, obviously the Texas training staff told Colt that he was risking long term damage to his shoulder by continuing to play. Would you disregard that information and get back out there with a bum shoulder and run the risk of throwing away an NFL career and likely 20 - 30 million guaranteed? If so, I'd love to sell you a bridge down by the river  :)

Yes, and he couldn't lift his right arm. Nothing about what colt did makes him a coward. Wes Welker was on the sidelines with a torn mcl and acl a few weeks ago...being on the sidelines means nothing.  He was supporting his team and helping a freshman qb...where was he supposed to go, home?  Your logic is deeply flawed, imo..

Guy was a 4 year starter at QB and was never afraid to take off and run the ball.I'm sure he took some brutal shots during those years.

I doubt that when he was playing for the national championship he was worried about his future.
guys and gals in all sports, pro and recreational play and get hurt and try to play again for a title even if it's just a city title.

...trust me I know from experience.I broke a bone in my thumb playing in my city's touch football league.the next week playoffs started and I wanted to play so bad I took the cast off{it was a soft cast} and tried to play....not the smartest thing I've ever done :-\ ::)

So I'm just gonna assume Colt was really hurt.

He had a pinched nerve in his throwing shoulder.

I would imagine it would be pretty tough to put any sort of velocity on a football with something like that.
