Ex-Brisbane lock Terry Matterson loses finger in bizarre training mishap

January 19, 2010 Terry Matterson, the Australian coach of English Super League club Castleford Tigers, has lost a finger in a bizarre training ground accident.

The former Brisbane Broncos lock revealed he snagged his wedding ring as he jumped a fence to collect a ball and tore his finger off.

That's a cover story for the benefit of the missus.  He met a hot Anglican at the Crusty Demons show and was in a hurry to tug it.  Thank god it was just a finger.
