Not only did I disagree with the scientist's designation of who was numbered where, I also thought the "experiment" made people uncomfortable due to having numbers on their heads. Would have been much better if the people were not numbered, but they had a number only the scientist knew about (and he properly got the order right).

True and some of the female "10s" could have just been average. But I guess the females and males who thought that they were "10s" and possibly were, had more self assurance that they would get more "mates" or would end up with a "10". Also women tend to like taller men, so a man who was a "8" could end up with a woman who was a "10", because of his height. WHich did happen.
