He starts off great but then I think he kinda starts drifting and the point of whats he's saying gets lost on the people. The guy's age is showing and I that's part of the problem for sure.  Love the guy though, he's been right about a lot and occasionally lays a good smack down.

RP had so much support in the polls, from the audience onhand (remember his applause?) as well as the online voting after each poll.

Many of the repub primary voters watched FOX... and instead of just being neutral and telling viewers what the candidate said... they gave their own opinions.  And their opinion on RP was uniform... he was a fringe lunatic.  They mocked him when he said an economic crash was coming - the other guys all said we were in great shape.  RP criticized Bush - the rest refused.

The Gop could own the White house right now, if only FOX commentators had just treated RPaul like everyone else.  They went after him, and then repub voters believed what hannity and friends told them, and voted for the RINOS and hacks.

Mccain should have never won the primary with an honest guy like Ron Paul in the mix.  FOX made that possible.

That's the truth.  Liked the dig Ron gave Fox news saying now they have had him on 60 times after the election...lol

mccain and obama and palin and bush all supported the bailout Bill, shipping all that $ to the banks.

They all would have supported some sort of stimulus/rescue bill in 2009 as well.

no way mccain - in the midst of a presidential election - pisses off his base by voting for the bailout like he did.  He wasn't making that call.  They got their pile of $ in 2009 too - and he would have given it to them just like Obama did.  No way he plays ball in 2008 but not 2009 - he got a big pile of GS money too.

Ron paul, on the other hand, who knows.  he's too old to run in 2012... but in 2005, most of us didn't consider RPaul a threat in 2008.  So maybe a new person will emerge with RP's belief system.

I hope so but I don't know of any republicans that will go against their own party the way RP does.  I guess that is why I am Libertarian.  They have principles that most people want yet many discount them.

Imagine the craziness if 2011 rolls around, and out of the blue, RON PAUL ENDORSES AN UNKNOWN CANDIDATE.

That would be interesting.  Some state senator or assistant governor somewhere with his belief system.  Or a Schiff maybe.

Imagine RP going on a tour to all his followers - conviving them to get behind the guy.  And the candidate - we'll call him Mr. Right - he promises Ron Paul will be on his staff and have access to everything.

This way, age can't be held against RP.  His supporters will get onboard if the guy is qualified.  And his message will go on for years.

okay, I'm just daydreaming now.... but it would rock :)
