Dexter definitely went backwards the past year. The 10 years before that, he was making progress every contest: always shredded, gaining tiny amounts of size, density, and fullness as the years went by.
Has he reached an age where his body is going to inevitably decline, no matter the effort, drugs, or food he puts in?
Beyond that option, heres the possibilities:
1. Reduction in amount of training-stimulated muscle growth.
A)because of less volume
B)because of less weight
C)because of lower frequency
2. Increased calorie output during offseason
A)increased cardio
B)increased non-fitness related energy output... chores around the house, going places for work or family.
C)increased volume or frequency of weight training
3. Increased calorie output during diet.
A)increase in training volume
B)increase in training frequency
C)increase in stimulants, thyroid, and/or any metabolism boosting agent
4. Decreased calorie intake during offseason.
A)Decrease in appetite
B)Decrease in food supply
C)Intentional calorie restriction
5. Decreased calorie intake during diet.
A)Decrease in apettite
B)Decrease in food supply
C) Intentional calorie restriction.
In my opinion the most likely of these being:
1.A and B and C
2.B
3.A and B and C
4.A and C
5.A and C
Peronsally, I think its probably a combination of age(the most obvious choice), reduced effort in training(his muscle seem to have lost a bit of their powerful look to them, especially his shoulders, quads, and his lats from the front.), and probably either an intentional calorie restriction, or a reduced appetite(dexter is known to be a force feeder)
